Freerice is a gaming website with the motto of "Learn, Have Fun, and Help End Hunger". If you want to easily contribute in removing world hunger from your home by giving some rice from your own pot, you should visit this website.

Here you will have many categories that will help you to learn through exploring. For each of your correct answer you will be awarded grains which will later going to be converted as rice. This website is part of World Food Programme. There is also a section called activity feed, which will help you to know about the current social program going on. The food scarcity is a very common thing in around the world. There are many countries around the world which are affected by war, natural calamities, and other pandemic situations. In the hardship of those countries when people are suffering with having food, your grains are there to help them. This website has sections, as stated earlier, such as 'Global Goals, English,Geography, Humanities, Literature, Math, Science' from where you will not only able to learn, you will also be able to have fun. You can set the level of difficulty according to your own ability.

This can be used by teachers in their classroom as per their subject needs as well. It can be used to built the sense of social responsibilities among learners. In EFL classrooms using this will be fun for both a young and an adult learner. The section available in this website named as English has two parts: Grammar and Vocabulary. The grammar section is really helpful for those who have a good command over English Grammar but want to polish it further. The section called vocabulary will really help you to furnish your word knowledge in English. If I would be an English Teacher, I,  of course, would suggest my learner's to visit this site and at least to donate minimum 100 grains. The interesting part will be when I will award them 10% of total marks for such great social work!

Now, would you like to explore more! Please visit freerice!

If someone asks you how to learn English outside the classroom what would you suggest to them? Of course to read some English newspapers! Right? Out of the newspaper, what can you suggest!   Voice of America Learning English (VOA- Learn American English with VOA Learning English) and British Broadcasting Corporation Learning English (BBC Learning English) is also kind of two different webpages that will help you to learn and practice English (consecutively American and British English) outside of the academic books. VOA and BBC- learning English both can be used by a learner for autonomy learning. However, in EFL classrooms a teacher who would like to use authentic materials can use VOA and BBC websites frequently.  VOA-Learning English has started its journey as part of Voice of America Broadcasting Channel in 1959. Primarily it functioned with Special English Newscasts for more than half a century. However, from 2014 VOA has expanded its line with more English teaching mater...

However, this knowledge is always limited to its theories until you practice and learn from your real life experiences.  Real life experiences here come as the source of opportunists a L2 learner has in the target language. In real life, the major source to listen to a foreign language is the speakers (native/non-native) of that language. For example, in Bangladesh, our major listening sources are our English teachers & English friends if we have any. To some extent, we also can listen to English news readings. As the listening source is limited within its speakers, practitioners; acquiring competence in this skill is difficult. However, it has been proven by researchers that without interactive listening , your concentration, learning is limited. As a result, English news, English music you can l...
